The Iraqi Ministerial Council for Economy issued a decision No. (230339 Q) and a notice under their letter numbered (2311066) on 6/12/2023 requiring from the manufacturers to obtain the Iraqi Quality Mark issued by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control (COSQC) for specific electrical products imported into Iraq, such as:

·    Household storage electric water heaters, 

·    Household electric room heaters, 

·    Household electric refrigeration appliances (refrigerator, refrigerator-freezer and freezer), 

·    Household air conditioners, 

·    Electric ovens and 

·    Cigarettes.

Be reminded that starting from July 1st, 2024, these products entering Iraq must bear the Iraqi Quality Mark. Do liaise with your importers regarding this scheme to obtain the Iraqi Quality Mark from COSQC.
